Open shift feature lets you create shifts open to all guards. Guards can choose and confirm the shifts they want to work for.

Step 1: First of all click on the Scheduler tab on the main menu from the Dashboard and select Schedule from the drop down menu. From the report filter, select a client, post site or guard to view the details of the shifts scheduled for the month.

Step 2: Next you would want to click on the date for which the open shift has to be created. On the pop-up screen select a shift template from the ones already existing in the system or create a new one. Once you have selected a shift template, click on Create New Shift.

Step 3: On the next screen, mention all the details regarding the shift. While creating an open shift, select open shift under the shift type option and mention the number of guards needed for the shift. Once the details are added, click on Create Shift & Publish to instantly relay the update to the guards or you can click on Create Shift to save the shift and publish the same at some future date.

The published shifts appear in orange while the unpublished ones appear in grey. Once the shift is confirmed by the security guard, it appears in green. This is how easy it is to create an open shift in Guardso.
